                            Do Not Call   Registry 
                            South Dakotans who  wish to eliminate many unwanted telemarketing phone calls may place their telephone  numbers on a statewide "Do Not Call" Registry.  
                            South Dakota One Call  
                            South Dakotans  are required to call South Dakota One Call for location of utility service two  working days prior to digging. If you are planning a construction or  remodeling project, call 811 or 1-800-781-7474. Locate requests are accepted 24  hours a day.

                            The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission has  compiled numerous informational and consumer guides about the commission,  telephone, natural gas and electric utility issues, energy efficiency, wind  energy, and grain warehouses.
