If your happy home is being bombarded with unwanted scam calls, stop by the Public Utilities Commission’s booth in the Convention Center to get a few tips on deterring these pesky callers. Representatives are also available to visit about other PUC topics like the Do Not Call registry, energy-saving strategies for your home, the natural gas pipeline safety program, and public grain warehouses and grain buyers. South Dakota/North Dakota Pipeline Safety Operator Training

March 11 - 12, 2025
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission hosted a training event for pipeline operators from North Dakota and South Dakota. Presenters included pipeline safety experts from the U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, regulatory agencies in both states, utility providers and fed and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, among others. Presentations covered a wide variety of topics including new federal regulations, cyber security, accident investigation and prevention and more.
