MINUTES OF THE AD HOC COMMISSION MEETING

Commissioner Chris Nelson called the meeting to order. Commissioner: Kristie Fiegen; Commission Attorneys: Karen Cremer and Adam de Hueck; Commission Advisor: Greg Rislov; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards and Amanda Reiss; Grain Warehouse Manager: Cody Chambliss; and Staff: Kaitlyn Baucom.

Joining the meeting by telephone were: Commissioner Gary Hanson; PUC Grain Inspector Justin Blais; and Sheila Shutt and Robert Shutt representing Kingsburg Grain and Feed, LP.

Grain Warehouse

1.     GW20-002     In the Matter of Kingsburg Grain and Feed, LP (Grain Warehouse Manager: Cody Chambliss; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards, Amanda Reiss)

     Commissioner Fiegen moved to accept the surrender of the grain buyer’s license and grain warehouse license of Kingsburg and to publish notice of the surrender in a newspaper of general circulation in the area served by Kingsburg to begin the bond process. Motion carried 3-0.

     Commissioner Fiegen moved to grant Staff the authority to oversee the liquidation of assets, to petition the circuit court for a receivership if needed, that Staff file status updates every ten days, and that all future transactions pertaining to Kingsburg be approved by Staff. Motion carried 3-0.

There being no further business, at the hour of 3:24 p.m., the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission meeting adjourned.
