MINUTES OF THE AD HOC COMMISSION MEETING

Commissioner Gary Hanson called the meeting to order. Commissioner: Chris Nelson; Commission Attorneys: Karen Cremer and Adam de Hueck; Commission Advisor: Greg Rislov; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards and Mikal Hanson; Staff Analysts: Jon Thurber, Eric Paulson and Darren Kearney; and Staff: Kaitlyn Baucom.

Present were:
Kristi Mogen, self; Amber Christenson, self; and Allen Robish, self.

Joining the meeting by telephone were:
Commissioner: Kristie Fiegen; David Ganje, Ganje Law Offices, representing intervenors; and David Hessler, Hessler Associates, Inc., representing staff.

1.     EL19-003     In the Matter of the Application by Crowned Ridge Wind, LLC for a Permit of a Wind Energy Facility in Grant and Codington Counties (Staff Analysts: Darren Kearney, Jon Thurber, Eric Paulson; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards, Amanda Reiss)

     Commissioner Nelson moved that the second motion to deny and dismiss be deferred until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, and that Applicant be ordered to file an updated map by 5:00 p.m. on June 7, 2019. Motion carried 3-0.

     Commissioner Nelson moved to deny the motion to strike affidavits of Patrick Lynch and John Thompson and to deny the motion for judicial notice of the Thompson affidavit. Motion carried 3-0.

     Commissioner Nelson moved to grant staff’s motion for exception to procedural schedule and to allow staff witness David Hessler to testify by telephone on June 6, 2019, with the understanding David Hassler is available at some time certain next week. Motion carried 3-0.

There being no further business, at the hour of 11:01 a.m., the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission meeting adjourned.
