MINUTES OF THE COMMISSION MEETING
Commissioner Chris Nelson called the meeting to order. Present were: Commission Attorneys: Karen Cremer and Adam de Hueck; Commission Advisor: Greg Rislov; Staff Attorneys: Amanda Reiss and Kristen Edwards; Staff Analysts: Patrick Steffensen, Brittany Mehlhaff, Eric Paulson, Lorena Reichert, Joseph Rezac and Jon Thurber; and Staff: Katlyn Gustafson.
Present were:

1. NG16-006 In the Matter of the Complaint of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., a Division of MDU Resources Group, Inc., regarding South Dakota Intrastate Pipeline Company’s Rates for Pipeline Transportation Service (Staff Analysts: Brittany Mehlhaff, Patrick Steffensen, Eric Paulson; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards, Amanda Reiss)
2. NG17-009 In the Matter of the Application of South Dakota Intrastate Pipeline Company for Authority to Increase its Natural Gas Rates Service (Staff Analysts: Brittany Mehlhaff, Patrick Steffensen, Eric Paulson; Staff Attorneys: Kristen Edwards, Amanda Reiss)

Commissioner Nelson moved that SDIP shall file a complete rate case by June 30, 2017, to comply with the Settlement Agreement approved in NG16-006, that the statutory period for the Commission to issue a decision in the rate case required pursuant to SDCL 49-34A-17, will not begin until the proposed rate is filed pursuant to this order, and that because there is currently a contracted rate in place through August 31, 2018, any rate proposed by SDIP will not be put into effect until after the current contract ends. Motion carried 3-0.
