Natural Gas
1. NG18-008 In the Matter of the Filing by NorthWestern Corporation dba NorthWestern Energy for Approval of a Contract with Deviations with Valley Queen Cheese Factory, Inc. (Staff Analyst: Patrick Steffensen; Staff Attorney: Kristen Edwards)
On April 25, 2018, NorthWestern Corporation dba NorthWestern Energy (NorthWestern) filed for approval of a contract with deviations with Valley Queen Cheese Factory, Inc. (Valley Queen). Valley Queen, an existing customer on NorthWestern’s natural gas system, is expanding its factory and desires additional natural gas capacity. NorthWestern states that based on the cost of the project, it will require a minimum annual volume obligation for the term of the agreement to guarantee the recovery of the capital investment costs and protect legacy customers. NorthWestern requests an effective date for the tariff revisions of June 1, 2018.
TODAY, shall the Commission approve NorthWestern Energy’s contract with deviations with Valley Queen Cheese Factory, Inc. and the associated tariff revisions with an effective date of June 1, 2018?
2. NG18-009 In the Matter of the Filing by MidAmerican Energy Company for Approval of Its 2017 Economic Development Activities and 2018 Proposed Budget (Staff Analyst: Joseph Rezac; Staff Attorney: Kristen Edwards)
On May 1, 2018, MidAmerican Energy Company (MidAmerican) filed its 2017 Economic Development Activities and Proposed 2018 Budget for Commission approval. The filing included MidAmerican’s report on 2017 economic development activities, actual expenses for 2017, and the planned budget for 2018. On May 17, 2018, MidAmerican responded to Staff’s data request.
TODAY, shall the Commission approve MidAmerican Energy Company’s 2017 Economic Development Activities and 2018 Proposed Budget?
