1. EL18-005 In the Matter of the Filing by MidAmerican Energy Company for Approval of Tariff Revisions to Its 2017 Transmission Cost Recovery Reconciliation and 2018 Transmission Cost Recovery Factors (Staff Analysts: Joseph Rezac, Lorena Reichert; Staff Attorney: Amanda Reiss)
On February 15, 2018, the Commission received MidAmerican Energy Company’s (MidAmerican) filing for approval of tariff revisions to its Transmission Cost Recovery (TCR) 2017 Reconciliation and 2018 New Factor Calculation. MidAmerican’s TCR mechanism was established in the company’s most recent rate case, EL14-072. With this filing, MidAmerican is establishing new TCR rates based on true ups to any over/under recovery from 2017, and for forecast over/under recovery for 2018. MidAmerican requests the new TCR factors have an effective date of April 2, 2018.
TODAY, shall the Commission assess a filing fee in the amount of up to $50,000 to account for actual expenses incurred in review of this filing commencing from the filing date?

1. NG18-004 In the Matter of the Filing by MidAmerican Energy Company for Approval of Tariff Revisions regarding Rate MMT – Monthly Metered Transportation Service (Staff Analyst: Lorena Reichert; Staff Attorney: Amanda Reiss)
On February 9, 2018, MidAmerican Energy Company (MidAmerican) filed an application to make changes to its Monthly Metered Transportation Service (MMT). MidAmerican is proposing to eliminate the 2,500-customer limit for MMT due to upgrades in its system, to change the tariff language to review customer eligibility monthly instead of annually, and to change switching requirements to company discretion.

Telecommunications
1. TC18-005 In the Matter of the Filing by Qwest Corporation dba CenturyLink QC for Approval of Revisions to its Access Service Tariff (Staff Analyst: Joseph Rezac; Staff Attorney: Kristen Edwards)
On February 9, 2018, the Commission received a filing from Qwest Corporation dba CenturyLink QC for approval of tariff revisions. CenturyLink is seeking to remove the direct dial coin feature on their smart public access lines as the feature is no longer supportable due to the age of the technology. CenturyLink will continue to support 0+ or 0- intraLATA calling. CenturyLink requests a March 12, 2018, effective date.

- A public input hearing for docket EL18-003 - In the Matter of the Application by Dakota Range I, LLC and Dakota Range II, LLC for a Permit of a Wind Energy Facility in Grant County and Codington County, South Dakota, for the Dakota Range Wind Project will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. CDT in the Waverly-South Shore School Gymnasium, 319 Mary Place, Waverly, S.D.
- Commission meetings are scheduled for April 3 and 20, 2018.
