Ultimately, if you wish to participate in the Commission Meeting and a line is not available you may have to appear in person.

AGENDA OF COMMISSION MEETING

Consumer Complaints

1.        CT09-001      In the Matter of the Complaint filed by Brian Hankel, Hartford, South Dakota, against Sprint Communications Company L.P., Zone Telecom, Inc. and Express Communications, Inc. Regarding Unauthorized Switching of Services. (Staff Analyst: Deb Gregg, Staff Attorney: Kara Semmler)

         On June 4, 2009, Brian Hankel filed a complaint against Sprint Communications Company L.P. (Sprint), Zone Telecom, Inc. (Zone) and Express Communications, Inc. (Express). Mr. Hankel alleges his long distance provider was changed by one or all of the listed companies without authorization, resulting in a slam. On June 9, 2009, Sprint filed a Motion to Dismiss Complaint against Sprint. On June 23rd, 2009, at a regularly scheduled commission meeting, Sprint's Motion was granted.  On June 24, 2009 Express Communications filed a confidential settlement agreement that included a settlement between it, Zone Telecom, Inc. and Mr. Hankel.  Express Communications also filed a Motion to Dismiss.  On June 26, 2009 Zone Telecom, Inc. filed a Motion to Dismiss. 
     TODAY, shall the Commission Grant the Motions to Dismiss and Close the Docket?"

1.      EL09-008        In the Matter of the Application of Black Hills Power, Inc. for an Order Authorizing it to Issue an Additional $180 Million in First Mortgage Bonds. (Staff Analysts: Tim Binder/Dave Jacobson, Staff Attorney: Karen Cremer)

         On June 12, 2009, Black Hills Power, Inc. filed an application for approval to issue an additional $180 million in first mortgage bonds. Black Hills Power, Inc. indicates the bonds will be issued to provide permanent financing of Wygen III, other capital expenditures and to provide proceeds for upcoming maturity of first mortgage bonds.
TODAY, shall the Commission Approve the Issuance of the Proposed Mortgage Bonds?
