Complaint Dockets

1. CT99-020 IN THE MATTER OF THE COMPLAINT FILED BY FRED HOLPP, RAPID CITY, SOUTH DAKOTA, AGAINST U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. REGARDING FAILURE TO PROVIDE SERVICE. (Consumer Representative: Leni Healy. Staff Analyst: Michele Farris. Staff Attorney: Camron Hoseck.)

On July 29, 1999, the Commission received a complaint by Fred Holpp, Rapid City, South Dakota, against U S WEST Communications, Inc. regarding failure to provide service. The Complainant claims that U S WEST promised service on service dates beginning with April 30, 1999. They still do not have service. The Complainant seeks the following relief: "service." The Commission found probable cause at its September 21, 1999 meeting. A hearing was scheduled for November 17, 1999. The hearing was cancelled.

TODAY, if the matter is resolved, shall the Commission dismiss the complaint and close the docket?

Telecommunications

1. TC99-094 IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF SMALL BUSINESS BILLING, INC. FOR A CERTIFICATE OF AUTHORITY TO PROVIDE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICES IN SOUTH DAKOTA. (Staff Analyst: Michele Farris. Staff Attorney: Camron Hoseck.)

On September 15, 1999, the Commission received an application by Small Business Billing, Inc. for a Certificate of Authority to provide telecommunications services in South Dakota. Small Business Billing, Inc. requests the Certificate of Authority to offer resold interexchange services, including, message telecommunications service and post-paid calling card services to business and residential customers.

TODAY, shall the Commission grant a Certificate of Authority to Small Business Billing, Inc.?

Natural Gas

1. NG99-006 IN THE MATTER OF THE FILING BY MIDAMERICAN ENERGY COMPANY FOR APPROVAL OF NATURAL GAS OPTIONAL OFF PEAK FIRM SERVICE RIDER. (Staff Analyst: Michele Farris. Staff Attorney: Karen Cremer.)

On Sept 20, 1999, MidAmerican Energy Company filed for approval of Natural Gas Optional Off Peak Firm Service Rider. MidAmerican is developing this surcharge rider on the interruptible tariffs to accommodate the seasonal customer currently on these rates. MidAmerican is requesting approval from the Commission that these tariffs become effective October 20, 1999.

TODAY, shall the Commission approve the proposed tariffs?
