Telecommunications

1. In the Matter of the Establishment of Revised Telecommunications Rules. (General Counsel: Rolayne Wiest.)

House Bill 238 was passed by the Legislature and signed by the Governor. It prohibits the telecommunications practices of slamming and cramming and provides penalties for offenders. The new law goes into effect on July 1, 1999.

Today, shall the Commission open a rule making docket to revise its telecommunications rules?
