AGENDA OF THE AD HOC MEETING
Natural Gas
On November 23, 1998, MidAmerican Energy Company filed with the Commission an application for authority to increase natural gas rates in South Dakota. The application seeks an overall increase in rates in the amount of $3,218,414 or approximately 6.5%. The Company has requested a change in rates to become effective for billings after December 23, 1998. On January 14, 1999, the Commission responded to staff's January 11, 1999 request to contract with a consultant to augment staff's analytical and technical capabilities in this matter. The Commission permitted staff to propose contracts with consultants to the Commission for approval. Staff is submitting a proposed contract to the Commission.
TODAY, shall the Commission approve staff's proposed contract? And, shall the Commission delegate the authority to enter into the contract to the Executive Director?
