ADDENDUM TO THE AGENDA

Telecommunications

1. TC97-054 IN THE MATTER OF THE FILING BY THE LOCAL EXCHANGE CARRIERS ASSOCIATION FOR SWITCHED ACCESS TARIFF REVISIONS. (Staff Analyst: Harlan Best. Staff Attorney: Karen Cremer.)

On May 16, 1997, the Local Exchange Carriers Association (LECA) filed switched access rate changes in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission orders on pay phone reclassification. The deadline to intervene was June 13, 1997. On July 2, 1997, AT&T was granted intervention. On July 10, 1997, the Commission received a motion for permission to serve AT&T Communications of the Midwest, Inc's first set of data requests and requests for production of documents on LECA and to expedite discovery.

TODAY, shall the Commission grant the motion for discovery? And, shall the Commission assess a filing fee?

2. TC97-082 IN THE MATTER OF THE FILING BY U S WEST COMMUNICATIONS, INC. FOR REVISIONS TO ITS EXCHANGE AND NETWORK SERVICES TARIFF AND EXCHANGE AND NETWORK SERVICES CATALOG. (Staff Analyst: Dave Jacobson. Staff Attorney: Camron Hoseck.)

On June 17, 1997, U S WEST Communications, Inc. filed tariff sheets that remove references to exchanges that have been sold by U S WEST. The sale was effective June 1, 1997. In addition, this filing includes some text changes and clean-up items. U S WEST has requested an effective date of June 1, 1997, for this filing.

TODAY, shall the Commission approve the revised tariffs?
