On June 20, 2012, the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission (Commission) received a filing from Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. (MDU) for approval to revise its Occasional Power Purchase Non-Time Differentiated Rate 95, Short-Term Power Purchase Time Differentiated Rate 96, and Long-Term Power Purchase Time Differentiated Rate 97 tariffs. The filing is made in compliance with the Commission's Order in F-3365 and in accordance with the Special Terms and Conditions of these tariffs, which state that the rate schedules will be reviewed annually and revised when necessary.

On June 19, 2012, the Commission received a complaint filed by South Dakota Intrastate Pipeline Co., (SDIP) Pierre, South Dakota, against Absolute Contracting, Ball Ground, Georgia. SDIP alleges Absolute Contracting Service Inc., exposed SDIP's pipeline without permission and without having a company representative present.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS
On June 19, 2012, the Commission received a filing from Midcontinent Communications (Midcontinent) for changes to its Access Service. The revision implements the first of the "Transitional Intrastate Access Service" reductions mandated by the Federal Communication Commission's November 18, 2011, Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in WC Docket Nos. 10-90, etc. (FCC 11-161). The calculations supporting the rate change were filed as confidential, with a corresponding Request for Confidential Treatment. Midcontinent requests an effective date of July 1, 2012.
