NG05-013      In the Matter of the Filing by Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., a Division of MDU Resources Group, Inc. for Approval of an Amendment to a Contract with Deviations with Merillat Corporation.

 

Application by Montana-Dakota Utilities Co. (MDU) for an amendment to its existing contract with Merillat Corporation which will expire on October 31, 2005. The proposed amendment provides for service to continue to Merillat for a one year period ending October 31, 2006, under the terms of the original contract. MDU has requested approval with less than 30 days notice.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

 

TC05-184      In the Matter of the Application of Pacific Centrex Services, Inc. for a Certificate of Authority to Provide Interexchange Telecommunications Services and Local Exchange Services in South Dakota. 

 

On October 21, 2005, Pacific Centrex Services, Inc. (Pacific) filed an application for Commission approval for a Certificate of Authority to provide interexchange telecommunications services and local exchange services in South Dakota.  Pacific intends to offer resold interexchange services including MTS, in-Wats, out-WATS, and calling card services throughout South Dakota.  Pacific also intends to offer facilities-based and resold local exchange services in the existing service areas of Qwest.  Pacific intends to provide basic residential exchange service, including custom and class features, adjunct provided features (voice messaging, etc.), and residential ancillary services (911, directory listing, directory assistance, etc.)

TC05-185      In the Matter of the Filing by Midcontinent Communications for Approval of its Intrastate Switched Access Tariff and for an Extension of an Exemption from Developing Company Specific Cost-Based Switched Access Rates.

 

On October 24, 2005, Midcontinent Communications (Midcontinent) filed a request for approval of revised switched access rates and an additional extension of its exemption from the requirement to develop intrastate switched access rates based on company specific costs.  Midcontinent intends to mirror the switched access rates of Qwest.

TC05-186      In the Matter of the Filing by Metropolitan Telecommunications of South Dakota, Inc. for Approval of its Intrastate Switched Access Tariff and for an Exemption from Developing Company Specific Cost-Based Switched Access Rates.

 

On October 26, 2005, Metropolitan Telecommunications of South Dakota, Inc. (Metropolitan) submitted a petition for exemption from developing company-specific cost-based switched access rates and for approval of its switched access services tariff.  Metropolitan Telecommunications, Inc. is requesting approval to mirror the Qwest Corporation tariffed access rates; they want exemption from the calculation and billing collection costs as set forth in ARSD 20:10:27:13; and they also want a waiver from filing cost data in support of its switched access service tariff no less than once every three years.
