NATURAL GAS
Application by MidAmerican Energy Company to utilize its Purchased Gas Adjustment during the months of January through March of 2007 to share positive net margins earned on sales for resale made using natural gas stored at one of its Waterloo Iowa liquified natural gas facility storage tanks. MidAmerican states that if the project does not result in a positive net margin from sales for resale, MidAmerican will not attempt to recover the negative net margin from retail customers.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS
On September 8, 2006, The City of Brookings Municipal Utilities – Telephone Division d/b/a Swiftel Communications (Swiftel) filed a revised service territory map which includes new local exchange service territories as a result of recent annexation by the City of Brookings. Swiftel is asking the Commission to accept the revised service territories in accordance with SDCL 49-31-69 and 49-31-3.

On September 11, 2006 the Commission received a filing for the approval of an Interconnection Agreement between Qwest Corporation and 360networks (USA) inc. Any party wishing to comment on the Agreement may do so by filing written comments with the Commission and the parties to the Agreement no later than October 2, 2006. Parties to the Agreement may file written responses to the comments no later than twenty days after service of the initial comments.

On September 13, 2006 the Commission received a filing for the approval of an Amendment to the Interconnection Agreement between Qwest Corporation and SBC Long Distance, Inc. dba AT&T Long Distance. According to the parties, the Amendment adds terms, conditions and rates for Collocation Decommission. Any party wishing to comment on the Agreement may do so by filing written comments with the Commission and the parties to the Agreement no later than October 3, 2006. Parties to the Agreement may file written responses to the comments no later than twenty days after service of the initial comments.
