PUC to host wind meeting in Redfield

The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will host a meeting at 7 p.m. on July 12 at Saks Restaurant in Redfield to discuss wind energy development with area landowners and residents.

The PUC Commissioners will share information regarding the opportunities and obstacles of wind energy development. They'll be available to answer questions regarding landowners' responsibilities and liabilities.

Redfield Mayor Duane Sanger issued an invitation to the Commissioners to conduct this meeting for the benefit of those in the Redfield area. Those interested in wind development are encouraged to attend and provide input to Commissioners Gary Hanson, Bob Sahr and Dusty Johnson on this issue.

Saks Restaurant is located at 724 North Third Street in Redfield.
