South Dakota Public Utilities Commissioner Gary Hanson took the oath of office on
Jan. 4, 2021, during a private ceremony in Lincoln County. The ceremony, administered by Hanson's long-time friend Judge Larry Long, marks the official start to Hanson's fourth term on the PUC.
