AGENDA OF THE AD HOC MEETING

 

Administrative

 

1. U.S. Department of Energy Grant  (Executive Director:  Pam Bonrud)

 

The Executive Director requests that the Commission authorize, pursuant to SDCL 49-1-8.2, the execution by the Executive Director of a Letter of Agreement between the Commission and the Department of Tourism and State Development to provide services under a $30,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.  The grant period begins on October 1, 2004 and ends on September 30, 2005.  The scope of the proposal is to promote and provide education about the benefits of wind power in South Dakota, to conduct rural outreach activities and to continue the anemometer loan initiative for wind monitoring.  The Commission agrees to submit documentation of expenses and activity progress reports to the state Energy Management Office located in the Department of Tourism and State Development.

 

TODAY, shall the Commission authorize the Executive Director to enter into a Letter of Agreement between the Commission and the Department of Tourism and State Development?

 

2.  Consulting Contracts (Executive Director:  Pam Bonrud)

 

The Executive Director requests that the Commission authorize, pursuant to SDCL 49-1-8.2, the execution by the Executive Director of a Consulting Contract between the commission and Ehresmann Engineering, Inc. of Yankton, SD for a total amount of $9,000 to perform structural analyses of selected existing SD Public Broadcasting telecommunications towers to determine their suitability for possible co-location of anemometers.  Payment for these contracts will come from the existing U.S. Department of Energy 2003 grant agreement.

 

TODAY, shall the Commission authorize the Executive Director to enter into a consulting contract with Ehresmann Engineering, Inc.?
