EL12-025     In the Matter of the Request for Approval of an Electric Service Territory Boundary Agreement between Cherry-Todd Electric Cooperative, Inc. and LaCreek Electric Association, Inc.

On March 30, 2012, Commission Staff filed an Electric Service Territory Boundary Agreement between Cherry-Todd Electric Cooperative, Inc. and LaCreek Electric Association, Inc. This filing is made pursuant to current efforts of the PUC to verify electric territory mapping data for conversion to electronic format and use in a Geographic Information System (GIS) database. With the assistance of the above-referenced utilities, Commission Staff has confirmed the service territory boundary shared by these utilities and has prepared updated mapping information. Commission Staff asks for approval of the agreement to update official mapping data to properly reflect the service territory boundaries shared by the utilities in this docket.

On March 30, 2012, Commission Staff filed an Electric Service Territory Boundary Agreement between Rosebud Electric Cooperative, lnc. and West Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. This filing is made pursuant to current efforts of the PUC to verify electric territory mapping data for conversion to electronic format and use in a Geographic Information System (GIS) database. EL12-027     In the Matter of the Petition of Otter Tail Power Company to Establish an Environmental Quality Cost Recovery Tariff

On March 30, 2012, Otter Tail Power Company (Otter Tail) filed for Commission approval of an Environmental Quality Cost Recovery Tariff. The purpose of filing this request is to begin the recovery of the costs of the required environmental retrofit to the Big Stone, South Dakota generating station.  Otter Tail anticipates the rate impact of this request will be approximately 2 percent on average in the first year of the rider.  Once the construction is complete in 2016, Otter Tail estimates the rate impact will be approximately 15 percent.  Otter Tail proposes an October 1, 2012, effective date.

EL12-028     In the Matter of the Filing of Northern States Power Company dba Xcel Energy for Approval of its 2011 Economic Development Activities and 2012 Budget
           
On April 4, 2012, Xcel Energy filed for approval of its 2011 Economic Development Annual Report and 2012 Economic Development Plan. The filing includes Xcel Energy's report on the projected and actual 2011 economic development activities budget and provides documentation of the actual economic development expenses incurred. The filing also provides a revised economic development budget that Xcel Energy plans for 2012.

NG12-001     In the Matter of the Filing by NorthWestern Corporation dba NorthWestern Energy for Approval of Its 2012 Economic Development Proposed Budget

On March 30, 2012, NorthWestern Energy (NorthWestern) filed for Commission approval of its economic development 2012 budget. As this is the first budget that NorthWestern is submitting as a result of NG11-003, the company will report on its anticipated expenses for 2012 with the understanding that in 2013, the Commission will review NorthWestern's 2012 actual expenses against the budget and a proposed budget for 2013.
