Transmission Mega Rule - Medium Consequence Areas and Other Key Issues

The presentation is a discussion of the major areas of the regulations that have been added to Part 192 with the adoption of Part 1 of the transmission “Mega Rule” released on Oct 1, 2019. With effective dates looming, one of the new challenges will be identifying all of the newly defined Moderate Consequence Areas (MCA’s) along the pipeline route. Careful scrutiny is warranted because of the required assessments and repair criteria and timeframes that accompany.
