Mount Rushmore National Memorial Ice Cream Social and Tour, Tuesday afternoon, June 7
Included in attendee and guest registration
On Tuesday afternoon, June 7, we'll slip out of meeting mode and into adventure mode as all MARC attendees and guests board comfortable motorcoaches and make the 40-minute trip to America's Shrine of Democracy, Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Once there, we'll enjoy an ice cream social, complete with a sundae topping bar and refreshing drinks. MARC attendees will be free to explore the memorial on their own and may choose to spend time gazing at the four faces of freedom from the Grandview Terrace, trekking the Presidential Trail, visiting the museum or browsing the extensive gift shop.
Comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear are recommended.
We'll be exploring the Black Hills in comfortable motorcoaches for our off-site
MARC 2011 activities. The routes occur over and around mountains with elevations up to 5,700 feet. The pace is leisurely and the view is picturesque. See the
driving routes and
map.
See for yourself.
