Adrian Heymer, Senior Director of Strategic Programs, Nuclear Energy Institute, Washington, D.C.
At the Nuclear Energy Institute in Washington, D.C., Adrian Heymer is responsible for integrating the industry's strategic programs covering all facets of the industry's activities. Until recently, he was the senior director responsible for coordinating the nuclear industry's generic activities on new nuclear plants. Mr. Heymer's responsibilities at NEI have included electricity deregulation, plant performance improvement, risk-informed regulation and industry quality programs.
Prior to joining NEI he worked in support of Nebraska Public Power District's Cooper Nuclear Station as an engineer and manager; at Lloyds Register on technical certifications and inspections; and served 16 years in the Royal Navy.
