November 22, 2011 PUC accepts reduced NorthWestern Energy natural gas rate increase
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission approved a 3.3 percent natural gas rate increase for NorthWestern Energy this week. The final increase amount was offered by the company and PUC staff as part of a joint settlement stipulation. The increase represents less than half of what the company requested. October 28, 2011 Phishing scam targets AT&T customers
An email scam requesting personal information from customers has been reported to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission by AT&T officials. The email appears to originate from AT&T and prompts the user to provide account and credit card information. ... (read more)

September 30, 2011 - South Dakota PUC urges FERC action to evaluate EPA regulations
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission filed comments with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission this week asking FERC to study how regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency will impact the reliability and affordability of electricity. September 28, 2011 - PUC to hear public comments in Scotland about NorthWestern Energy's proposed natural gas rate increase
The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission will hold a public hearing in Scotland, S.D., Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, to hear comments and questions about the natural gas rate increase proposed by NorthWestern Energy.
