South Dakota Public Utilities Commission Meeting

MINUTES OF THE COMMISSION MEETING

Chairman Bob Sahr called the meeting to order.  Also present were Executive Director Patty Van Gerpen;  Commission Attorneys Rolayne Ailts Wiest and John Smith; Staff Attorney Karen Cremer; Staff Analysts Dave Jacobson, Martin Bettmann, Bob Knadle, Nathan Solem and Keith Senger; Court Reporter, Carla Bachand; and Administrative Secretary Tina Douglas.

Also present was Bob Mercer, Associated Press

Joining the meeting by telephone were Vice Chairman Dustin Johnson; Commissioner Gary Hanson; Jean Koster; Mary Jo  Stueve; and Chris Madsen and Tom Welk, Boyce, Greenfield, Pashby & Welk, representing Otter Tail Power Company.

1.    EL05-022         In the Matter of the Application by Otter Tail Power Company on behalf of Big Stone II Co Owners for an Energy Conversion Facility Permit for the Construction of the Big Stone II Project.  (Staff Analysts:  Bob Knadle, Martin Bettmann, and Nathan Solem, Staff Attorney:  Karen Cremer)

Chairman Sahr moved to deny the Petition for Dismissal.  Commissioner Johnson seconded and Commissioner Hanson concurred. Motion passed 3-0.
