WIND DEVELOPMENT

The Production Tax Credit (PTC) is a federal tax incentive that helps make wind power development possible.  Unfortunately, Congress has never made the Production Tax Credit permanent. 

Fortunately, the Production Tax Credit was recently extended to Dec. 31, 2008.  The South Dakota Public Utilities Commission wants to see the Production Tax Credit become permanent.  The Production Tax Credit certainly will help spur new projects.
