EL06-016      In the Matter of the Petition for Electrical Service by Redfield Energy, LLC to have NorthWestern Corporation d/b/a NorthWestern Energy Assigned as its Electric Provider in the Service Area of Northern Electric Cooperative, Inc. 

Petition filed by Redfield Energy, LLC to be provided electric service by NorthWestern Energy outside of NorthWestern Energy's established service territory pursuant to SDCL 49-34A-56. The petition states that Redfield Energy believes NorthWestern can furnish electric service to meet the customer's needs consistent with the factors of SDCL49-34A-56 and that the customer has a strong preference to be served by NorthWestern Energy. The customer's facility is to be located in the existing territory of Northern Electric Cooperative, Inc.

OC06-003      In the Matter of the Complaint filed by Valley Telecommunications, Herreid, South Dakota, against Bruce Mack, Leola, South Dakota 

On May 25, 2006 the South Dakota One Call Notification Board received a filing of a complaint by Bob Schuetzle of Valley Telecommunications against Bruce Mack of 11510 362nd Ave, Lelola, South Dakota.  According to the complaint, Mr. Mack was digging at T126N, R67W, Sec5, SE corner of 2 1/2 miles north of Leola, South Dakota on South Dakota Highway 19, without first obtaining a valid locate request and two fiber optic cables were cut.

TC06-053      In the Matter of the Filing by Comtel Telcom Assets LP d/b/a VarTec Telecom and d/b/a Excel Telecommunications for Approval of its Intrastate Switched Access Tariff and for an Exemption from Developing Company Specific Cost-Based Switched Access Rates 

On May 30, 2006, Comtel Telcom Assets LP d/b/a Vartec Telcom and Comtel Telcom Assets LP d/b/a Excel Telecommunications (Comtel) filed a petition in accordance with ARSD 20:10:27:11, asking the Commission to exempt Comtel from filing company specific cost-based intrastate switched access rates.
